Job Description

Fixed Assets Lead

Key Responsibilities:

Independently manage
Fixed Asset accounting
activities end-to-end
Apply
Asset Retirement Obligation (ARO)
concepts where applicable
Understand and implement
capitalization policies
and identify capitalizable costs
Apply relevant
accounting standards
(Ind AS / IFRS / US GAAP)
Record and review
journal entries
for asset additions, retirements, disposals, and transfers
Perform
depreciation calculations
, review depreciation runs, and analyze variances
Evaluate
asset valuation, useful life, and depreciation methods
Perform
fixed asset reconciliations
between sub-ledger and General Ledger
Investigate and resolve
reconciliation breaks and exceptions
Execute
asset verification procedures
(physical / system-based)
Ensure
accuracy and completeness
of Fixed Asset Register (FAR)
Support
month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
activities
Prepare schedules and provide support for
statutory, internal, and SOX audits
Analyze the
financial impact
of asset-related transactions and adjustments

Skills & Competencies:

Strong expertise in
Fixed Assets accounting
Solid understanding of
capitalization, depreciation, and asset lifecycle
Hands-on experience with
ERP systems
(SAP / Oracle / Workday / NetSuite preferred)
Strong
reconciliation and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and handle
complex transactions
Good stakeholder communication and documentation skills
Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
