Job Overview:We are seeking an experienced Fitter to join our team in the fabrication industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the assembly, installation, and fitting of components and structures used in the manufacturing of large-scale equipment and machinery. This role requires a high level of technical skill, precision, and the ability to work with both manual and power tools. The Fitter will collaborate with engineers, welders, and other fabrication staff to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety are met. Key Responsibilities:Fitting & Assembly: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to assemble and install parts. Cut, shape, and fit materials like metal, plastics, or composites based on specifications. Install and adjust mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products. Assemble parts into large machines, structures, or equipment using hand tools, power tools, and machines. Quality Control: Ensure that all assembled components meet the specified tolerances and are defect-free. Perform visual and dimensional inspections to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards. Make adjustments or repairs to parts when necessary to maintain quality. Safety & Maintenance: Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures at all times. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on fabrication tools and equipment. Ensure proper handling and storage of tools and materials. Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, designers, and project managers to discuss modifications, specifications, or potential issues. Coordinate with welders, machinists, and other team members to ensure smooth workflow. Provide feedback on product design to improve efficiency or quality. Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve any fitting or assembly issues that arise during the fabrication process. Identify and implement improvements to enhance product quality or reduce assembly time.
