Job Description

Carry out installation, alignment, and fitting of centrifugal and vertical turbine pumps (1150–200 HP). Inspect, diagnose, and repair faults in pumps, motors, and valve assemblies (sluice valves, butterfly valves, non-return valves, etc.). Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including dismantling, cleaning, replacement of seals, bearings, impellers, shafts, couplings, and gaskets. Conduct valve overhauling (tightening, lapping, seat repair, greasing, and packing). Ensure correct alignment of pump & motor using dial gauges/laser alignment tools. Work with welders, electricians, and operators during pump overhauls or emergency breakdowns. Maintain maintenance logs, repair records, and daily progress reports (DPRs). Follow safety protocols while working on high-capacity pumps, confined spaces, and lifting operations. Assist in spare parts inventory management and report requirements for timely procurement.
