Firmware Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities

1.Micro-Architecture & RTL Development: Design and implement IP and sub-system level micro-architectures using VHDL/Verilog, ensuring robust and efficient RTL coding practices.

2. FPGA Implementation & Integration: Prepare timing constraints, perform synthesis, and integrate IP/sub-systems for Xilinx FPGA platforms, including hands-on prototyping and bring-up activities.

3. Protocol & Interface Design: Develop and support interfaces and protocols such as AXI, I2C, USB, SPI, UART, Ethernet, and contribute to complex controller designs (e.g., DDR, PCIe).

4. Verification & Debugging: Conduct functional and system-level verification, troubleshoot and debug RTL and FPGA issues, and resolve board-level implementation problems.

5. Multi-Clock & Asynchronous Design: Design and verify multi-clock and asynchronous interfaces to ensure reliable system integration and performance.

6. Automation & Documentation: Utilize scripting languages (bash, Perl, Python) for automation, testing, and process improvement, and maintain clear technical documentation for compliance and certification (DO-254, as applicable).
