Firewall Administrator

Job Description

Configure, manage, and maintain the organization's firewall and Prisma access infrastructure, including rule creation, modification, and deletion. Manage and maintain existing firewall infrastructure, including rule configuration, policy enforcement, and Prisma access service configurations. Monitor firewall logs and alerts from Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Prisma to identify potential security incidents and anomalies. Perform regular reviews of firewall rules to ensure they are up-to-date and aligned with the best security practices. Assist in the implementation and management of VPN solutions for secure remote access. Familiarity with security information and event management (SIEM) systems and their integration with logs from Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Prisma. Relevant security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA Security, Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA), and Fortinet NSE certifications. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in managing and administering enterprise-level firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto Networks, Prisma Access). Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, and network security concepts, including cloud security principles and hardware lifecycle management. Hands-on experience with firewall rule configuration, object management, and security policy implementation on both Palo Alto Networks and Fortinet firewalls, familiarity with Prisma service configuration. Experience with VPN technologies, including integration with Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls, and Prisma Access.
