Job Description

Job Summary:

firefighting design engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Design fire protection systems, including fire hydrants, sprinklers, and fire alarm systems for industrial facilities.
Develop layouts, schematic diagrams, and detailed drawings using AutoCAD or similar software.
Ensure designs are compliant with NBC standards and other relevant fire safety regulations.
Coordinate with clients, architects, and civil and MEP teams for integrated project delivery.
Prepare BOQ, specifications, and technical documentation.
Conduct site visits to assess system integration and installation feasibility.
Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
Review and update designs based on project changes and regulatory feedback.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of
fire hydrant, sprinkler, and fire alarm system
design.
Proficient with
AutoCAD
, and exposure to Revit, EPLAN, or similar design software is a plus.
Familiar with
NBC 2016
standards, IS codes, and local fire safety norms.
Industrial project design experience, preferably in sectors such as manufacturing, warehousing, petrochemicals, or heavy engineering.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Problem-solving aptitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
