Fire And Safety Officer

Key Responsibilities:

• Fire Safety Compliance:

- Ensure all fire protection systems (fire alarms, hydrants, sprinklers, extinguishers, etc.) are operational and maintained as per schedule.
- Coordinate with local Fire Department for No Objection Certificate (NOC) renewal and fire drills. - Ensure compliance with Gujarat Fire Prevention and Life Safety Measures Act, 2013 and applicable rules. - Conduct regular audits and risk assessments related to fire safety.

• Inspections & Maintenance:

- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly checks of fire safety equipment and systems.
- Coordinate with vendors and AMC (Annual Maintenance Contractors) for routine servicing and repair of fire-fighting systems. - Maintain documentation and logs of inspections, repairs, and safety tests.

• Training & Drills:

- Organize and lead periodic fire drills and emergency evacuation drills.
- Provide fire safety training and awareness sessions to staff, security, and housekeeping personnel. - Maintain training records and ensure refresher training is conducted regularly.

• Emergency Preparedness:

- Develop and maintain emergency response plans and evacuation procedures.
- Act as a Fire Warden during emergencies and guide occupants to safety. - Coordinate with emergency services during incidents.

• Documentation & Reporting:

- Maintain up-to-date safety manuals, logs, permits, and compliance records.
- Prepare incident reports and suggest corrective/preventive measures. - Support audits and inspections by government agencies or internal quality teams.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Diploma/Degree in Fire & Safety Engineering (recognized by UGC/AICTE or State Technical Board).
- Certification from a recognized fire training institute (e.g., NFSC, MSBTE). - Minimum 2-5 years experience in a facility or property management setup (commercial/residential/industrial). - Good knowledge of local fire laws and building codes in Gujarat. - Familiarity with BMS (Building Management System) and fire panel operation. - Good communication skills in Gujarati, Hindi, and English.

Preferred Certifications:

- NEBOSH / IOSH (optional but beneficial)
- First Aid and CPR Certification
