Fire And Safety Officer

Role & responsibilities

• Fire Safety Compliance

  Ensure all fire systems (alarms, hydrants, sprinklers, extinguishers) are operational and maintained; manage NOC renewals and regulatory compliance under the Gujarat Fire Prevention & Life Safety Measures Act.

• Inspections & Maintenance

  Conduct routine inspections of fire safety equipment, coordinate with vendors/AMC for servicing, and maintain logs and compliance documents.

• Training & Drills

  – Lead fire drills, emergency evacuation exercises, and conduct safety awareness training for staff, security, and housekeeping teams.

• Emergency Response

  – Develop and implement emergency response plans; act as Fire Warden during emergencies and coordinate with external emergency services.

• Documentation & Reporting

  – Maintain safety manuals, incident reports, audit records, and support government or internal audits.

• Skills & Qualifications

  – Diploma/Degree in Fire & Safety, strong knowledge of Gujarat fire laws, experience with BMS/fire panels, and communication skills in Gujarati/Hindi/English; NEBOSH/IOSH and First Aid/CPR are added advantages.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma/Degree in

  Fire & Safety Engineering

  with formal training from

  NFSC/MSBTE

  or equivalent institute.
• 1–5 years of experience in

  fire safety operations

  within residential, commercial, or industrial facilities.
• Strong understanding of

  Gujarat Fire Prevention & Life Safety Measures Act, 2013

  , local fire norms, and building safety codes.
• Hands-on experience with

  fire alarm panels, hydrant systems, sprinklers, extinguishers

  , and familiarity with

  BMS (Building Management System)

  .
• Proven ability to conduct

  fire drills, emergency evacuation training

  , and staff awareness programs.
• Excellent documentation and reporting skills with the ability to maintain safety logs, compliance records, and incident reports.
  
• Good communication skills in

  Gujarati, Hindi, and English

  , with a calm approach during emergencies.
• Certifications such as

  NEBOSH/IOSH
