Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Financial Data Analyst to join our team in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will have 3-8 years of experience and be passionate about solving business problems and making a direct impact on stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibility

Perform data analysis, identify trends, conduct research, build visualizations, and deliver objective, critical insights that fulfill team stakeholders' business needs.
Triage tickets to identify potential misbilling and analyze transactional data to determine the amount to be refunded or clawed back.
Provide data analysis support to Accounting and Finance & Strategy teams for month-end close processes, including data validation and incident investigation.
Coordinate cross-functional projects to identify and drive operational efficiencies that support stakeholders' ability to run more efficiently.
Analyze data to support financial audits in a timely and accurate manner.
Collaborate with FinSys engineering teams to help define product solutions and conduct internal knowledge sharing sessions to strengthen team capabilities.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in STEM major (Computer Science, Math, Stat, Engineering) and 3+ years of prior working experience in data analysis.
Strong analytical skills, proficiency with SQL, and a strong understanding of data relationships.
Experience working with large datasets and outstanding communication skills.
Expertise in cross-functional collaboration to drive business and operational goals.
Excellent project management skills and the ability to hold others accountable for results.
Ability to connect big-picture ideas to minute details and operate effectively as part of a team.
Domain knowledge in Finance/Accounting is preferred.
Master's degree in STEM major is a plus.
Experience working in fast-paced environments (e.g., high-growth fintech/tech company, management consulting).
Experience working with PM, Engineers, Finance Team, or Accounting Team.
Experience handling tickets and adhering to KPIs and metrics.
Experience managing/mentoring junior data analysts.
Experience with visualization tools.
Experience working with teams in disparate time zones (i.e., US teams).
Experience onboarding merchants to a billing platform.
