Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced US Controller to oversee end-to-end accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance. This role requires strong hands-on capability along with the maturity to manage financial controls, reviews, and stakeholder communication. The ideal candidate should be comfortable owning the numbers and ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee end-to-end accounting operations, including GL, AP, AR, payroll, and month-end/year-end close.
Review and finalise financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and statutory requirements.
Lead and review work performed by accounting teams; provide guidance and quality checks.
Handle financial analysis, variance analysis, and management reporting.
Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and external stakeholders.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management.
Act as a key point of contact for finance-related discussions with clients/management.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience in accounting and financial reporting, with exposure to controller-level responsibilities.
Strong command over month-end close, reporting, and financial controls.
Experience reviewing work prepared by teams and ensuring accuracy.
Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, SAP, or similar ERPs.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and compliance.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications

CA / CPA / ACCA or equivalent finance qualification (preferred).
Experience working with international clients is a strong plus.
Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
