Role & responsibilities

Job Purpose / Role: Finance Controller

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Lead quarterly preparation and finalization of the Balance Sheet and P&L statements.
• Ensure IND AS-compliant finalization of accounts and timely closure of books.
• Coordinate with statutory, internal, and cost auditors for smooth audits.

2. Costing & Financial Analysis

• Plan, study, and collect data to determine manufacturing costs, including material, labor, overheads, and process costs.
• Record and analyze cost information to support cost control and profitability improvement.
• Prepare MHR (Machine Hour Rate) and LHR (Labor Hour Rate) based on operational insights.

3. New Product & Export Costing

• Prepare cost estimates for new and proposed products, including export-oriented components.
• Support RFQs, pricing strategies, and customer negotiations through accurate cost sheets.

4. MIS & Financial Insights

• Develop and present MIS reports covering costing, profitability, stock status, and budget vs. actuals.
• Provide data-driven insights to management for decision-making.

5. ERP & Systems (SAP S4 HANA)

• Manage and oversee finance, costing, and inventory-related activities in SAP S4 HANA.
• Ensure accuracy of data across modules and drive process improvements.

6. Inventory & Stock Control

• Reconcile finished goods inventory and verify valuation on a regular basis.
• Ensure monthly preparation of stock tally reports and actualization of part weights.
• Monitor inventory levels to support production and export schedules.

7. Cross-functional Coordination

• Work closely with Stores, Dispatch, Logistics, Accounts, and Production teams.
• Verify, validate, and correct financial and transactional entries across departments.

8. Cost Control & Budgeting

• Track expenditure trends and support cost optimization initiatives.
• Ensure financial discipline, adherence to budgets, and prevention of leakages.

9. Leadership & Collaboration

• Coordinate with multiple departments and organizational levels.
• Provide financial guidance, ensure compliance, and mentor the finance team.

• Strong exposure to export operations and costing for global customers.

• Hands-on proficiency in SAP S4 HANA and IND AS-compliant reporting.
