Finance Controller

In this role as an Industrial Controller, your main responsibilities will revolve around understanding the cost structure of the organization, accurately allocating expenses, and developing a cost monitoring system for quick retrieval of cost information at a granular level. Your key responsibilities include: - Collaborating with the accounting department for accurate financial reporting and cost booking - Identifying direct and indirect costs, analyzing cost drivers, and understanding factors contributing to expenses - Identifying any deviations from the budget, taking prompt corrective measures, and ensuring costs remain within the decided limit - Preparing budgets by cost center, providing detailed analysis and commentary on variances against the budget by cost center - Developing and implementing cost control strategies and processes in collaboration with the respective businesses - Presenting a detailed analysis of costs, opportunities for optimization, and creating relevant dashboards for senior management ensuring accuracy in key metrics - Leading and facilitating initiatives to lower costs, reviewing and improving existing processes and procedures - Creating or updating an expense policy, establishing an approval process for expenses including setting spending limits, and implementing monitoring systems to detect potential financial irregularities - Fostering a cost-conscious culture within the organization by promoting cost awareness, accountability, and responsibility at all levels, encouraging employees to contribute cost-saving ideas - Owning group-level financial reporting on a monthly basis and addressing related queries to costs Additionally, as a Commercial Controller, your responsibilities will include: - Collating actual cost inputs with new RFQs to capture all process improvements and current costs during RFQ - Working on low GP improvement - Preparation of Sales Budget including coordination with front-end sales owners - Finalization of Monthly Accounts MIS, Balance Sheet, and P/L - Responsible for product costing and monthly costing - Preparation of MIS and presenting it for management review with exceptional reporting - Preparing the yearly budget along with monthly monitoring of the budgeted parameters - Providing other MIS reports as per management needs The job type for this position is full-time and the work location is in person.
