About the role!

Financial Controller

This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly qualified senior financial controlling professional to strengthen our European Financial Controlling team. We are looking for an absolute A-player in finance with strong communication skills who is ready to take on this senior role in Flora Food Group.

Communication Skills & Business Partnering

You possess excellent communication skills. You are a dynamic finance professional, able to convey complex financial information in a clear and concise manner to a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, including Regional Financial Controller for Northern Europe, Commercial Finance Manager, Global Controlling Team (supply chain, treasury, tax and group finance), Auditors and Advisors.

As Senior Financial Controller you articulate financial results, insights and strategies as part of a virtual team set-up across locations. These skills are instrumental in building trust, fostering collaboration, and guiding decision-making processes.

Technical Knowledge & International Exposure

You have strong experience in core accounting (Controllership/Record to Report) and strong Financial Accounting Skills. You possess +10 years of relevant experience in financial controlling and/or plant controlling in an international company and a masters degree in finance or accountancy.

Solid knowledge of IFRS and external audit is a requirement and professional qualification (e.g. Certified Accountant) is desirable. Work experience in SAP (S4Hana) Blackiline is preferred.

You lead the financial control activities in Europe and drive process improvements for the business.

• Take responsibility for the Balance Sheet and P&L reporting for the entities.
• Liaise with (senior) stakeholders like supply chain, treasury, tax and group finance.
• Own the month end close process, providing insights on overhead and cashflow.
• Lead local tax and statutory compliance and reporting.
• Contribute to R2R improvement projects (FS in housing, BS reconciliation, VAT).
