Job Description

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

1. Bachelors degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance (B.Com, M.Com, or equivalent).

2. Professional qualification (CA Inter) preferred.

Experience:

1. 5-10 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or factory setup.

Technical Skills:

1. Proficiency in ERP/accounting software (e.g., SAP, Tally, Oracle, etc.)

2. Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and taxation.

Excellent Excel and data analysis skills

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting & Financial Reporting

1. Maintain all factory-related accounting records and ledgers in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

2. Prepare and submit monthly factory accounts, including income statements, balance sheets, and variance analysis.

3. Reconcile factory accounts with the head office periodically.

4. Ensure timely posting of all transactions in ERP/accounting software.

2. Costing & Inventory Management

1. Maintain accurate records of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.

2. Conduct monthly/quarterly stock reconciliations and investigate variances.

3. Calculate product costing and analyze cost trends for management decision-making.

4. Monitor wastage, yield, and efficiency ratios and provide analytical reports.

3. Budgeting & Expense Control

1. Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts for the factory.

2. Track and control operating expenses against the approved budget.

3. Verify all factory payments, ensuring compliance with approval limits and policies.

4. Payroll & Statutory Compliance

1. Coordinate with HR for payroll processing and employee cost accounting.

2. Ensure timely deposit and filing of GST dues.

3. Support internal and external audits with all required documents.

5. Coordination & Reporting

1. Liaise with head office accounts for consolidation and reporting.

2. Support production and procurement teams with financial insights for decision-making.

Prepare ad hoc financial reports as required by management
