Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Finance & Accounts Executive to independently manage the firm's accounting, payroll, and expense operations using Zoho Finance. The role requires hands-on expertise in Zoho Books, Zoho Expense, and Zoho Payroll, along with strong accounting fundamentals, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to compliance. The position involves end-to-end ownership of financial transactions, vendor payments, reimbursements, payroll cycles, and statutory reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting entries, reconciliation, and financial documentation on Zoho Books
  • Process employee reimbursements and expense claims through Zoho Expense, ensuring accuracy and policy compliance
  • Run complete monthly payroll cycles on Zoho Payroll, including salary structure updates, attendance integration, and payslip generation
  • Process client invoices, payments, and maintain client records
  • Prepare monthly MIS reports, financial summaries, and dashboards
  • Handle statutory payments and filings TDS, PF, ESI, PT, GST (coordination with CA firm where required)
  • Coordinate with HR for attendance cut-offs, LWP adjustments, and employee master updates
  • Prepare audit schedules and support internal/external audits
  • Maintain proper documentation and audit trail for all financial transactions
  • Support senior management with financial analysis and budgeting inputs
  • Ensure data accuracy, compliance, and timely closure of monthly books.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent; M.Com preferred
  • Mandatory: Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in:
  • Zoho Books
  • Zoho Expense
  • Zoho Payroll
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and statutory compliance
  • Prior experience managing full accounting cycles and payroll independently
  • Proficiency in MS Excel formulas, reconciliation, and reporting
  • Strong analytical ability and attention to detail
  • High ownership, discipline, and ability to meet monthly deadlines

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience working in professional services firms (legal, consulting, financial services)
  • Familiarity with Zoho Books automation, workflows, and financial integrations
  • Ability to manage confidential financial data with maturity and discretion
  • Process-driven mindset with a focus on accuracy and compliance
