Department: Engineering/Projects Location: Ayodhya Experience Required: 5–10 years (Hotel project experience preferred) Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Role Overview The MEP Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the installation, testing, commissioning, and quality control of HVAC, fire fighting, electrical, plumbing, and ELV systems on-site. The role requires coordination with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure all MEP works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, project management skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving within hospitality or similar large-scale projects. Key Responsibilities Monitor and manage site installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC, fire fighting, electrical, plumbing, and ELV systems. Review vendor/supplier proposals, verify equipment specifications, and ensure materials comply with design and project requirements. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure work progresses as per approved shop drawings and quality standards. Troubleshoot and resolve MEP issues on-site, ensuring timely escalation where necessary. Prepare and submit periodic project reports, progress updates, and quality control documentation. Review MEP drawings and specifications in coordination with the MEP Head. Ensure compliance with national and local building codes, fire safety norms, and sustainability standards. Assess HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting, and ELV system designs for optimal efficiency. Oversee the execution of MEP works on-site, ensuring adherence to approved drawings and specifications. Coordinate with civil engineers, contractors, and vendors for seamless integration of MEP services. Monitor project timelines, budgets, and material procurement to avoid delays or cost overruns. Conduct regular inspections, quality checks, and ensure adherence to safety and quality regulations. Identify and liaise with MEP contractors, vendors, and suppliers for cost-effective solutions. Review and assess BOQs, technical proposals, and tender documents. Ensure quality control in materials, workmanship, and installation processes. Supervise system testing, commissioning, and final handover of MEP services. Conduct troubleshooting and recommend solutions for defects or system inefficiencies. Required Qualifications & Skills B.E/ B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. 5–10 years of experience in MEP engineering, preferably with hotel or large commercial projects. Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting, ELV, and sustainability standards. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, MS Project, or other relevant design/project management software. Strong project management and coordination skills. Ability to monitor budgets, timelines, and resource allocation. Familiarity with national/local building codes and fire safety norms.
