Job Description

A field sales representative for solar panels is responsible for prospecting and selling solar energy solutions to residential and commercial clients. Key responsibilities include generating leads, conducting site assessments to determine feasibility, educating customers on solar benefits, preparing customized proposals and quotes, negotiating contracts, and closing sales. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently and travel. Responsibilities

  • Customer and lead management: Identify and prospect new clients through methods like cold calling, networking, and referrals.
  • Client communication: Meet with potential customers in person, provide information on solar products and systems, and answer questions about cost and benefits.
  • Site assessments: Visit customer locations to conduct feasibility checks, such as evaluating roof space, shading, and electrical requirements.
  • Proposal and quote creation: Develop and present detailed, customized proposals and quotes based on customer needs and site assessments.
  • Sales and negotiation: Negotiate contracts, close sales deals, and meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Post-sale support: Maintain strong customer relationships, provide after-sales service, and coordinate with internal teams for installation.
  • Industry knowledge: Stay up-to-date on solar industry trends, technologies, government regulations, and subsidy programs.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit regular sales reports and forecasts to management.

Qualifications and skills

  • Experience: Prior experience in sales is often required, with a preference for those with experience in solar, renewable energy, or related fields like insurance or telecom.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills are essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are also important.
  • Attitude: Must be self-motivated, target-driven, and customer-oriented.
  • Logistics: Ability to work independently and travel as needed.
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, or a related field is sometimes required, but strong communication skills are often valued more highly.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
