Job Description

The primary responsibility of this role is to meet or exceed individual sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. You will also contribute to the achievement of team and organizational sales goals by identifying and acquiring new customers, such as bookstores, educational institutions, libraries, and corporate clients. It will be your responsibility to explore and expand into new territories within the assigned area while building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to ensure repeat business. Understanding customer needs and recommending suitable products will be crucial in this role, along with providing prompt responses to inquiries and effectively resolving customer issues. You will actively promote new book launches, e-resources, and digital offerings to targeted audiences, and organize/participate in promotional activities like workshops, book fairs, and events. Conducting product demonstrations and presentations for clients, ensuring timely order processing and delivery coordination, and monitoring stock levels with distributors/retailers are also key responsibilities. Gathering feedback from customers and sharing insights about market trends with the management team, monitoring competitor activities, and suggesting strategies to maintain a competitive edge will be part of your role. Additionally, maintaining accurate records of sales activities, submitting regular reports on sales performance and customer feedback, and keeping the CRM system updated with all client interactions are essential tasks. Staying updated with the latest product knowledge and industry trends, participating in training programs and skill development workshops as required, are also important aspects of this role.
