Field Engineer

Responsibilities

• Installation & Commissioning:

• Perform on-site installation, configuration, and commissioning of [mention specific products/systems] according to technical specifications and project plans.
• Conduct initial testing and verification to ensure proper functionality and integration with existing client systems.

• Maintenance & Support:

• Execute preventive maintenance schedules to ensure the longevity and optimal performance of installed systems.
• Respond promptly to service requests and client calls for technical assistance and breakdowns.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues on-site.
• Perform timely repairs, component replacements, and system adjustments as needed.

• Troubleshooting & Problem Solving:

• Analyze complex technical problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions efficiently.
• Utilize diagnostic tools, schematics, and technical manuals to resolve issues.

• Client Interaction:

• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their technical issues, explain solutions, and provide status updates.
• Provide basic user training and guidance on system operation and maintenance as required.
• Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through professional and courteous service.

• Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of all service activities, including installation details, maintenance performed, issues resolved, and parts utilized.
• Prepare detailed service reports, timesheets, and expense reports.
• Provide feedback to the engineering/product development team on recurring issues or potential product improvements.

• Inventory & Tools Management:

• Manage and maintain field service tools, test equipment, and spare parts inventory, ensuring availability for assignments.
• Ensure all equipment is calibrated and in good working condition.

• Safety & Compliance:

• Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and client site protocols.
