Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Engineer to join our team in delivering cutting-edge home automation solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for on-site installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of smart home systems including lighting, climate control, security, audio/video, and networking. You will work closely with project managers, system designers, and clients to ensure high-quality execution of smart home projects, providing technical expertise and excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities: Install and configure home automation systems including but not limited to Smart lighting (e.g., Lutron,Netstar) Home security (e.g., alarms, cameras, sensors) Multi-room audio/video systems Smart blinds, door locks, and appliances Networking equipment (routers, switches, Wi-Fi extenders) Perform pre-installation site assessments and coordinate with design teams for system layouts. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on-site, providing timely support. Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings. Maintain and update installation records, system documentation, and client reports. Provide training to clients on system operation and answer post-installation queries. Collaborate with other field technicians and project managers to ensure project timelines are met. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. Requirements: Education and Experience: Diploma/ITI or related field. Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in a field technician or similar role, preferably in home automation or AV systems. Technical Skills:Hands-on experience with smart home systems (e.g., Control4, Crestron, Savant, KNX, Z-Wave, Zigbee). Knowledge of basic networking (IP addressing, routers, switches, Wi-Fi configuration). Familiarity with low-voltage wiring and cable management. Soft Skills:Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and in a team. Professional attitude and customer-oriented mindset. Other Requirements: Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites.
