Job Description

The F&B Service Associate is responsible for delivering high-quality dining experiences by providing attentive, courteous, and efficient food and beverage service to guests. The role ensures guest satisfaction by maintaining service standards, cleanliness, and product knowledge while upholding hotel policies and brand guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:Guest Service

  • Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables when required.
  • Present menus, explain specials, and make recommendations.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and input them into the POS system.
  • Serve food and beverages following hotel standards and sequence of service.
  • Anticipate guest needs, check back frequently, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Handle guest complaints politely and escalate to supervisors when necessary.

Service Operations

  • Set up and clear tables according to restaurant standards.
  • Assist in mise-en-place: polishing cutlery, glassware, preparing stations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in dining areas at all times.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff for smooth and timely service.
  • Ensure billing accuracy and assist with cash/credit settlements.
  • Support buffet setup, replenishment, and breakdown (if applicable).

Product Knowledge

  • Maintain full knowledge of menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, allergens.
  • Understand beverage lists (wine, cocktails, mocktails, spirits).
  • Stay updated on hotel promotions, loyalty programs, and seasonal offerings.

Compliance & Safety

  • Follow all hotel SOPs, grooming standards, and hygiene regulations.
  • Comply with HACCP, food safety, and sanitation procedures.
  • Ensure safe handling of equipment, beverages, and hot items.

Teamwork & Communication

  • Coordinate with colleagues, supervisors, and kitchen teams effectively.
  • Attend daily briefings, trainings, and team meetings.
  • Support other outlets or functions (banquets, room service) when required.

Qualifications & Skills:Education:

  • High school diploma; hospitality certification preferred.
  • Hotel Management degree is an advantage.

Experience:

  • 0–2 years of experience in F&B service; freshers welcome in many hotels.
  • Experience in a hotel, restaurant, or cruise environment preferred.

Key Skills:

  • Excellent communication and guest-handling skills.
  • Positive attitude, teamwork, and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverages.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and billing is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
