Fashion Merchandiser Cum Fabric Sourcing Supervisor

We are seeking a creative Fashion Designer and Sourcing Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage the initial design concepts through to the some part of final production and material sourcing. You will be a creative with strong technical skills, who is also an expert in supplier management and negotiation. Key responsibilities Design and development Conduct market and trend research to predict consumer demand and develop seasonal collections. Create design concepts, including detailed sketches, and mood boards. Select and test fabrics, colors, and materials based on design aesthetics, functionality, and cost. Create and refine prototypes, overseeing fittings and making adjustments to meet design specifications. Generate comprehensive tech packs with detailed specifications for production Sourcing and production Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers and manufacturers that meet quality, cost, and ethical standards. Develop and maintain strong, strategic relationships with vendors. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and lead times with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing. Manage the sampling process, ensuring all materials and final products are approved and on schedule.
