Department: Fashion Design Location: International School of Design Kolkata. Employment Type: Part-time / Visiting Reports to: Head of Department / Academic Coordinator Experience: 2–3 years in fashion design & illustration (industry and/or teaching). We are seeking an experienced and passionate Fashion Faculty with strong expertise in Fashion Illustration to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in fashion design, technical drawing, and creative illustration—both hand-drawn and digital. You will be responsible for teaching core subjects, mentoring students, and contributing to curriculum development with a focus on industry-relevant skills. Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging lectures, demonstrations, and studio sessions in Fashion Illustration , design development, and related courses. Teach various illustration techniques including flat sketches, stylized figure drawing, rendering of fabrics, and digital illustration using tools like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Procreate. Guide students in portfolio creation, design concept development, and collection visualization. Assist in developing curriculum content that aligns with industry standards and emerging trends in fashion illustration and design. Assess student work and provide constructive feedback. Coordinate with colleagues on interdisciplinary design projects and fashion shows. Mentor students for internships, projects, and final-year design collections. Stay updated with fashion industry trends, technology, and illustration practices. Participate in faculty development programs, exhibitions, and institutional activities. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field from a recognized institute. Proven expertise in fashion illustration (traditional and digital). Minimum 3 years of teaching experience or equivalent industry experience in fashion illustration, trend forecasting, or visual communication. Proficient in software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), Procreate, or similar. Strong communication and presentation skills. Passionate about design education, creativity, and student engagement. Job Type: Part-time Pay: ₹171.35 - ₹764.68 per hour Schedule: Day shift Language: English (Preferred) Work Location: In person
