Fashion Designer

As a Fashion Designer in our company, your role will involve designing clothing and fashion products with a strong emphasis on textile development, fabric selection, and surface design. You will blend creativity with technical knowledge of fibers, weaving, knitting, dyeing, and printing techniques to create unique and innovative garments. Your responsibilities will include creating mood boards, sketches, and digital illustrations to present design concepts. You will also participate in the development of prototypes, oversee sample production to ensure design intent is maintained, and provide technical specifications, garment construction details, and pattern guidance for production. Key Responsibilities: - Design clothing and fashion products with a focus on textile development, fabric selection, and surface design - Create mood boards, sketches, and digital illustrations - Participate in prototype development and oversee sample production - Provide technical specifications, garment construction details, and pattern guidance - Ensure quality control by reviewing samples, checking fabric performance, and making design adjustments - Stay updated with fashion and textile trends, suggesting new materials or techniques - Collaborate with merchandising and marketing teams to align designs with consumer trends - Possess a strong understanding of textile manufacturing processes - Utilize design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD software Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design (Preferred) - Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Fashion Designer (Required) - Proficiency in English (Required) Additionally, you should have strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. An understanding of bulk manufacturing challenges and costing will be beneficial for this role. Please note that this is a full-time position based in Ernakulam, Kerala. Relocation or reliable commuting to this location before starting work is preferred.,
