Fashion Designer & Merchandiser

About the Role

COLOR CAPITAL is looking for a Fashion Design & Merchandiser to lead women’s westernwear collections end-to-end. This role combines design, fabric sourcing, and production coordination, with a strong focus on commercial design and quality execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop seasonal women’s westernwear collections aligned with brand direction
• Source fabrics, trims, and manage vendor relationships
• Oversee sampling, fittings, and design corrections
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure timelines, costing, and quality standards
• Track development calendars and ensure smooth transition from design to production

Requirements

• Proven experience in women’s westernwear design and sourcing
• Strong fabric knowledge and supplier understanding
• Commercial design sensibility with attention to detail
• Experience working with manufacturers and sampling units
• D2C or contemporary fashion brand experience preferred
