Job Description

The Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of building operations and maintenance to ensure a safe, functional, and efficient workplace environment. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can balance day-to-day operational needs while implementing strategic facility improvements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily facility operations including building systems, maintenance, cleaning, security, and space management
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to extend asset life and reduce operational costs
  • Manage vendor relationships and service contracts to ensure quality service delivery within budget
  • Coordinate workplace modifications, renovations, and relocation projects
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Develop and manage facility operating budgets and capital expenditure plans
  • Respond to emergency situations and implement appropriate protocols
  • Lead and develop the facility management team including technicians and support staff
  • Implement sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental impact and operating costs
  • Maintain accurate records of building systems, warranties, and maintenance activities
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in facility management or related roles
  • Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety)
  • Experience with facility management software and CMMS systems
  • Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills
  • Problem-solving abilities with a customer-focused approach
  • Professional certification (FMP, CFM, or similar) preferred
