With its elegant and trendy collection, RELIABLE is one stop shop for all institutions looking forward to build their identity. Job Purpose:To oversee and manage the complete knitted fabric operations including knitting, greige fabric handling, dyeing jobwork coordination, quality control, and fabric stock management. The Fabric Incharge ensures timely availability of both greige and dyed fabric according to production and merchandising requirements.Responsibilities:1. Knitting & Fabric Production ManagementPlan and monitor daily knitting schedules.Ensure knitted fabric meets required GSM, width, shrinkage, and structure.Coordinate with knitting supervisors and check production output. 2. Dyeing & Processing Jobwork HandlingIssue fabric dyeing challans to dyeing jobworkers (dyers).Follow up daily with dyeing units for production status.Track lab dips, bulk dyeing lots, re-dyeing, and shade approval process.Maintain inward / outward dyeing records and ensure timely receipt of dyed rolls. 3. Fabric Inward, Outward & Stock ControlMaintain stock of Greige Fabric, Dyed Fabric, and Finished Fabric.Record all fabric movements in Google Sheets / Excel.Verify weights, rolls, shrinkage, and quality upon inward.Maintain fabric racks, roll numbering, and bin location management. 4. Quality AssuranceInspect fabric for shade matching, GSM, knitting faults, streaks, holes, barre, uneven dyeing, etc.Coordinate with QA team for approvals or rejections.Ensure all dyeing lots match Reliable’s quality standards. 5. Coordination with Merchants & ProductionProvide fabric availability updates to the Merchandising team.Ensure fabric is prepared as per garment production sequence.Communicate daily shortages, pending lots, and expected arrival. 6. Vendor & Dyer ManagementMaintain professional relationships with dye houses and jobworkers.Ensure timely completion of dyeing, finishing, and processing.Handle disputes, shade issues, and rework requirements.Track and reduce rejections. 7. Reporting & DocumentationMaintain and update:Fabric Stock RegisterDyeing Jobwork ReportDaily Fabric Inward/Outward SheetColour/Shade-wise availabilityShortage & pending reportEnsure real-time updates in Google Sheets and Excel.Requisite Skills:Strong knowledge of knitted fabrics (single jersey, interlock, rib, P/C blends, GSM control).Understanding of dyeing processes, lab dips, shade control, finishing techniques.Excellent follow-up and vendor management.Skilled in Google Sheets / Excel (data management, reporting).Strong organisational ability and problem-solving skills.Ability to handle multiple fabric lots simultaneously.Desired Skills:Experience in uniform fabrics is preferred.Knowledge of knitting machines (HS, DY, SJ, RIB) and yarn types.Understanding of quality parameters and testing.
