External Manufacturing Lead - Contract Manufacturing (Speciality Chemical)

You will be responsible for leading external manufacturing operations at Scimplify, a specialty chemicals manufacturing company. Your role will involve overseeing plant operations, campaign management, raw material planning, inventory management, risk assessment, financial exposure management, commercial tracking, and process excellence. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead end-to-end external manufacturing campaigns across Scimplify's specialty chemical plants in India. - Oversee production execution, batch planning, and yield tracking to ensure on-time, in-full delivery of products. - Drive raw material planning and allocation, manage Production Planning & Inventory Control for ongoing campaigns. - Monitor and manage at-risk plants financially, anticipate and mitigate operational and commercial risks. - Own campaign commercials, monitor yields, deviations, and cost drivers for profitability. - Implement systems for production tracking, deviations, and escalation, drive best practices in plant operations. **Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent; advanced degree preferred. - 12 years of experience in contract manufacturing, external manufacturing, CMO within the specialty chemicals sector. - Strong expertise in Tech Transfer, Process Engineering, Plant Operations, and specialty chemical production. - Demonstrated ability to track commercials, P&L, and financial exposure at the plant level. - Experience in multi-plant coordination, vendor/partner management, leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
