Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Export Sales Manager with a strong background in the machine tool industry. The candidate will be responsible for developing international markets, managing key global customers, and driving export sales growth. The role requires excellent communication skills, strong sales acumen, and the ability to travel extensively across international markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute export sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets in assigned international markets.
  • Identify and develop new overseas customers, agents, and business partners.
  • Manage and grow relationships with existing international clients and channel partners.
  • Prepare and negotiate commercial offers, contracts, pricing, and payment terms.
  • Coordinate with engineering, production, service, and logistics teams to ensure timely order execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Represent the company at international exhibitions, trade fairs, and customer meetings.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements in global markets.
  • Ensure compliance with export regulations, international trade policies, and documentation requirements.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular reports to management.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (Engineering preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in export / international sales, preferably in the machine tool, railway/metro sector or capital goods industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving export sales targets and market development.
  • Strong knowledge of machine tools, manufacturing processes, and industrial customers.

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (additional languages are an advantage).
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Good understanding of international sales practices, INCOTERMS, payment terms, and export documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple international markets.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel extensively across different countries.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and reporting skills.

  • Prior experience handling agents in overseas markets.
  • Exposure to global railway/metro tenders and project-based sales.
  • High level of professionalism, cultural awareness, and customer-focused approach
