Applicants may pursue a PhD in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Geosensing and Systems Engineering.

Requirements

– Undergraduate or Master’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field, with a GPA greater than 3.6– Programming experience– Strong foundation in linear algebra, calculus, and probability– Research experience in structural engineering or machine learning– Familiarity with deep learning packages in PythonApplicants should include a statement detailing their programming experience and may provide links to reports or GitHub repositories. Prior research experience in the specified or related topics, particularly in structural engineering, should be clearly articulated in the application.Successful PhD applicants will receive full tuition support and a stipend for the duration of their study through research and teaching assistantships. Positions are available for Spring 2026 and Fall 2026.
