Role & responsibilities

1.1. Inventory Management & Stock Control:

• Maintain accurate stock records for Semi-Finished Goods (SFG)
• Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) and LIFO (Last In, First Out) for material movement as per business requirements.
• Minimize obsolete and non-moving inventory through proper inventory control measures.

2. Semi-Finished Goods (SFG) Management:

• Ensure proper storage and tracking of semi-finished components (machined parts).
• Maintain batch-wise traceability to prevent mix-ups and defects in the assembly process.
• Work with production to streamline SFG storage and minimize WIP (Work In Progress) inventory.

4. SAP & Documentation Management:

• Update inventory transactions in the SAP (Store Management System) in real-time.
• Maintain GRN (Goods Receipt Note), Material transfer documents, and material issue slips.
• Generate MIS reports (Material Consumption, Stock Movement, Slow-Moving Inventory, Indent Vs Dispatch etc.) for management review.
• Ensure compliance with GST, E-Way Bill, and other regulatory documentation for stock movement.

4. Coordination with Cross-Functional Teams:

• Work closely with production and planning teams to ensure timely material availability.
• Collaborate with quality assurance (QA) teams for efficient material flow.
• Coordinate with logistics and commercial teams for on-time dispatch and order fulfilment.

5.Safety & Compliance:

• Maintain 5S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) in the store area.
• Ensure safe handling of materials and adherence to workplace safety standards.
• Follow ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 guidelines for storage and material management.
• Implement fire safety, material stacking norms, and hazardous material handling procedures.

Key Skills:

• Knowledge in SAP Material Management (MM) and Warehouse Management (WM) modules for inventory tracking & stock movement, management.
• Understanding of material handling techniques and storage practices.
• Experience with inventory control tools
• Knowledge of safety regulations, GST invoicing, and logistics coordination.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in stock management.
• Strong coordination and teamwork skills for inter-department communication.
• Analytical thinking for stock optimization and cost-saving initiatives.
• Knowledge of Optimal Utilization of Manpower
