Job Description

Role & responsibilities Source, negotiate, and purchase materials, equipment, and services from approved suppliers. Issue purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure timely receipt of goods. Evaluate vendor quotes and make recommendations based on price, quality, and delivery capabilities. Maintain and update the approved supplier list and procurement records. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse/production to avoid stockouts or overstocking. Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures. Assist in cost reduction initiatives by identifying new vendors or alternative materials. Handle invoice discrepancies, coordinate with the finance team for timely payments, and resolve supplier disputes. Prepare regular reports on purchase activity, delivery timelines, and supplier performance. Stay updated on market trends and price fluctuations to make informed purchasing decisions. Preferred candidate profile Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in Auto component industry. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Proficient in MS Office and ERP or procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally, Zoho). Good organizational and time management skills. Attention to detail with the ability to work independently under pressure.
