Role & responsibilities

Interpret Spoken Communication

• Accurately interpret conversations, meetings, and presentations between Japanese and English.
• Provide

  simultaneous

  or

  consecutive

  interpretation depending on the setting.

Translate Written Documents

• Translate emails, reports, manuals, contracts, and other documents.
• Ensure translations are

  linguistically accurate

  and

  culturally appropriate.

Facilitate Cross-Cultural Communication

• Help bridge cultural gaps by explaining customs, etiquette, and context.

Support Business Operations

• Assist in negotiations, client meetings, and internal communications.
• Interpret during factory visits, training sessions, or technical discussions.

Maintain Confidentiality

• Handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

Prepare for Assignments

• Review materials and agendas to ensure readiness.

Collaborate with Teams

• Work closely with project managers, translators, and other interpreters.
• Provide feedback on language-related issues.

Preferred candidate profile

• Graduate with JLPT Certification N3-N2 level.

• Experience:

  4-8 yrs with good linguistic and interpretation skills

• Translation Tools

  (optional but beneficial):
• CAT tools (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ)
• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Google Workspace

• Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and team coordination abilities.

Ability to manage multiple priorities
