Job Description

As an Operation & Maintenance professional, you will be responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted operation of electrical systems, which includes HT/LT panels, transformers, DG sets, UPS, PLCs, VFDs, and HVAC-related controls. Your key responsibilities will involve executing preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment and managing utility systems like boilers, compressors, chillers, and cleanroom HVAC electrical panels. In terms of Regulatory Compliance, you will need to ensure adherence to GMP, WHO, USFDA, and other regulatory bodies" guidelines concerning electrical installations. Your role will also involve maintaining documentation for audits, such as calibration records, electrical load records, and preventive maintenance logs, and initiating QMS elements for proposed changes like Change Control. When it comes to Projects & Installation, you will assist in planning and executing electrical projects, including plant expansions, cleanroom modifications, and the installation of new equipment. Collaboration with vendors and contractors for electrical installation and commissioning activities will be crucial. Safety & Energy Efficiency will be a key focus area where you will implement electrical safety protocols, conduct periodic safety audits, and monitor energy consumption to suggest and implement energy-saving initiatives. Compliance with statutory electrical safety norms and liaison with the local electricity board as necessary will also be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, QA, and validation, and maintain electrical drawings, SOPs, and ensure timely documentation in compliance with data integrity principles. Training junior staff on electrical systems, troubleshooting, and safety procedures will also fall under your purview. Qualifications required for this role include a Diploma/BE in Electrical Engineering with a total experience of 5-8 years in plant maintenance for a sterile manufacturing plant. Key skills and competencies desired include a strong knowledge of electrical systems in sterile/injectable facilities, familiarity with cleanroom requirements and electrical implications, understanding of PLC/SCADA systems, BMS, and EMS, troubleshooting and root cause analysis abilities, documentation and audit preparedness skills, energy management mindset, and excellent coordination and communication skills. Candidates applying for internal roles must have completed a minimum of 5 years within their existing role to be considered for the position.,
