As the Engineering Head at a renowned Container Glass Manufacturing Factory in Mumbai, your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the plant's engineering and maintenance activities. With over 15 years of experience, preferably in glass manufacturing, and a qualification of B.E./Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical, you will be responsible for overseeing various key aspects of the plant's operations. Your primary responsibilities will include managing maintenance activities to ensure the uninterrupted functioning of furnaces, IS machines, lehrs, and utility systems. You will also lead project execution, including installations, upgrades, and CapEx projects, while effectively managing timelines and budgets. In addition, you will be tasked with overseeing utility and energy systems, focusing on energy efficiency and cost control. Your expertise in predictive maintenance will play a crucial role in improving machine uptime and reliability. Furthermore, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring engineering and maintenance teams, building their technical capabilities. Ensuring safety compliance and adherence to environmental norms will be a key aspect of your role, along with managing spare parts inventory and procurement coordination. Collaborating closely with production and quality departments, you will provide cross-functional support to enhance overall plant performance.
