Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Versa SD-WAN Network Engineer to join our team, responsible for L2 in an SD-WAN environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience troubleshooting, configuring, and optimizing SD-WAN solutions, along with expertise in traditional networking concepts (routing, switching, firewalls, and security policies). Key Responsibilities: L2 Support: • Monitor and troubleshoot SD-WAN networks, ensuring high availability and optimal performance. • Diagnose and resolve incidents related to network connectivity, latency, and performance. • Work with service providers and internal teams for issue resolution and root cause analysis. • Implement network changes as per standard operating procedures (SOPs). Technical Skills Required: • Understanding of SD-WAN technologies (Cisco Viptela, VMware SD-WAN by VeloCloud, Fortinet SD-WAN, Silver Peak, etc.). • Expertise in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and switching concepts (VLANs, STP, EtherChannel). • Understanding with firewalls and security policies (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, FortiGate, or equivalent). • Knowledge of IPSec VPNs, MPLS, QoS, and WAN optimization techniques. • Familiarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark, etc.). • Hands-on experience in network automation (Python, Ansible, Terraform) is a plus. • Understanding of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus. Qualifications & Experience: • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • 2-3 years of experience in networking with a focus on SD-WAN and WAN technologies. • Relevant certifications (CCNP / SDWAN certification must) are a plus. Soft Skills: • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to work in a team and collaborate across multiple stakeholders. • Strong documentation and reporting skills.
