Through multiple challenging and interactive rounds, participants develop self-motivation and linguistic confidence as they compete for the coveted title of Master Spellers each year. Role Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Examiner to join our team in a part-time, remote capacity. The Examiner plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity and quality of our competition by supervising rounds and assessing participants' spelling, comprehension, and speaking skills. You will ensure that each stage of the competition is conducted fairly and consistently, while also providing insights to improve our educational framework. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and invigilate online competition rounds Monitor participant performance and ensure adherence to rules Evaluate spelling accuracy, vocabulary usage, and articulation Provide clear, constructive feedback when necessary Collaborate with the organising team to refine competition standards and procedures Maintain accurate records of participant progress and assessments Qualifications Strong command of the English language, especially spelling and comprehension Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to fairness Comfortable working with virtual platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.) Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Prior experience with academic or language-related competitions is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills Bachelor’s degree in English, Linguistics, Education , or a related field If you're passionate about language, enjoy educational engagement, and have an eye for precision, we’d love to hear from you!
