Estimation Engineer

About the Role

Vatsplus Infratech Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Estimation Engineer with experience in Solar EPC projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimations, BOQs, feasibility studies, and technical proposals for rooftop and ground-mounted solar power projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare technical and commercial estimates for solar EPC projects (Rooftop & Ground Mounted).

- Analyse tender documents, drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.

- Prepare BOQ, cost sheets, project budgets, and material/service requirement lists.

- Coordinate with procurement and vendors for rate collection, negotiation, and updating price databases.

- Conduct site assessments, shading analysis, and feasibility checks (as required).

- Work closely with design teams to finalize system sizing, layouts, and technical solutions.

- Assist in proposal preparation, including technical submissions, compliance statements, and clarifications.

- Ensure all estimates align with company standards, profitability, and market benchmarks.

- Maintain updated knowledge of solar PV components, market rates, new technologies, and industry trends.

- Support tendering team for GeM, government tenders, and private EPC bids.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering / Renewable Energy / Mechanical Engineering.

- 25 years of experience in estimation for Solar EPC projects (mandatory).

- Strong knowledge of solar PV components, BOS materials, and EPC costing methodologies.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, MS Excel, and MS Office.

- Experience in reading and interpreting technical drawings and tender specs.

- Strong analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills.

- Ability to work under deadlines with attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Govt. tenders, DISCOM tenders, MNRE guidelines, and EPC pricing.

- Exposure to the GeM portal bidding.

- Knowledge of electrical safety standards and statutory compliance.
