Estimation Engineer - Electrical

Key Responsibilities:

• Study & Analyze Tender Documents:
• Review technical drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
• Understand electrical systems like power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, and low current systems.
• Quantity Take-Off:
• Calculate quantities of electrical items (cables, conduits, panels, sockets, etc.) based on drawings.
• Cost Estimation:
• Prepare item-wise cost estimates for materials, labor, subcontracting, testing, and commissioning.
• Supplier & Vendor Coordination:
• Obtain quotations for electrical components and systems from suppliers.
• Pricing & Budgeting:
• Prepare pricing sheets and finalize project budgets.
• Analyze cost-impacting factors (location, client standards, material fluctuations).
• Technical Support for Proposal Submission:
• Coordinate with design, proposal, and project teams.
• Prepare and review technical and commercial bids.
• Value Engineering:
• Suggest cost-effective alternatives to reduce project costs without compromising quality.

Skills Required:

• Strong understanding of electrical systems and standards
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, Estimation software (e.g., CCS Candy, PlanSwift)
• Attention to detail and analytical mindset
• Knowledge of local & international standards (IEC, NEC, etc.)
• Good communication & negotiation skills
