Estimation Engineer

Job Title: Estimation Engineer

Job Summary:

The Estimation Engineer will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for instrumentation and fluid/flow control projects.

This role involves analyzing project specifications, assessing material and labour costs, and collaborating with sales and engineering teams to develop competitive bids.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Estimate Preparation:

• Analyse project specifications, drawings, and requirements.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for instrumentation and fluid/flow control solutions.
• Identify and quantify all materials, labour, and equipment needed for the project.

2. Technical Evaluation:

• Assess the technical requirements and ensure compatibility with proposed solutions.
• Liaise with suppliers for pricing and lead times on components and systems.

3. Bid Development:

• Develop comprehensive bids and proposals.
• Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to ensure estimates meet client requirements and project timelines.

4. Cost Analysis:

• Perform cost analysis and risk assessments.
• Review and refine estimates based on project feedback and historical data.

5. Client Interaction:

• Present and explain estimates to clients.
• Address any client inquiries and provide technical support during the bidding process.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Instrumentation, Mechanical)
• 3+ years of experience in estimation within the instrumentation or fluid industry.
• Strong understanding of instrumentation and fluid systems and components.
• Proficiency in estimation software and tools.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
