Estimation engineer

Role Overview: As an Estimation Engineer (Cost & Tender) at our infrastructure and healthcare construction company in Baner, Pune, you will play a crucial role in preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for various projects. You will collaborate closely with project, procurement, and design teams to ensure cost-effective solutions and timely delivery of tenders. Key Responsibilities: - Analyzing drawings, specifications, and other documents to prepare estimates for time, cost, materials, and labor. - Preparing BOQ (Bill of Quantities) based on project drawings and specifications. - Conducting rate analysis for civil, MEP, and finishing works. - Evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotations for accuracy and competitiveness. - Preparing and submitting tender documents, including commercial and technical proposals. - Coordinating with architects, consultants, and internal teams for design and scope clarification. - Maintaining updated cost databases and analyzing project costing for budgeting purposes. - Participating in pre-bid and post-bid discussions with clients and vendors. - Identifying and managing risks related to estimates and pricing. - Supporting value engineering and cost-saving initiatives. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field. - Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in cost estimation and tendering for infrastructure/healthcare construction projects. - Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Project, and estimation software (e.g., Candy, CostX, etc.). - Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing trends. - Excellent analytical and numerical skills. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
