ESG-Sustainbility Consultant & Strategy | Associate Level | Mumbai

Position Title: Sustainbility & Strategy Consultant Reporting To: Manager/Associate Director/Director Location: Mumbai, Maharastera Experience Required: 2 to 6 years Employment Type: Full-time Position Purpose: The Consultant ESG will play a key role in delivering high-quality ESG advisory services to clients. This includes supporting ESG strategy development, ESG reporting, climate risk assessments, and sustainability disclosures. The role requires a strong understanding of ESG frameworks, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to translate complex sustainability challenges into actionable strategies. Key Accountabilities & Role Descriptors Client - Support business development through proposal creation - Understand client needs and tailor ESG solutions accordingly - Manage client expectations and deliver on timelines - Number of proposals supported - Client satisfaction and feedback Quality - Deliver ESG services including ESG strategy, reporting, and roadmap development - Apply knowledge of frameworks such as GRI, BRSR, TCFD, IFC - Lead ESG and climate-related engagements - Number of ESG/climate engagements delivered - Quality of deliverables People - Collaborate across teams to deliver integrated solutions - Engage with clients to understand ESG requirements - Feedback from engagement managers and senior peers Public Trust - Provide thought leadership on ESG trends - Present insights to stakeholders - Demonstrate passion for sustainability and climate change - Recognition for thought leadership - Stakeholder feedback Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Business, or a related field Additional certifications in ESG, sustainability, or climate change (preferred) Experience: Minimum 2 years in ESG consulting, sustainability strategy, or related roles Core Skills: To convey ESG insights effectively-Stakeholder Management To manage diverse client expectations- Project Management To ensure timely and quality delivery-ESG frameworks, GHG accounting, decarbonization To provide expert advisory- Certifications-GRI, SASB, TCFD, BRSR, etc. To align with global standards Learning & Development Pathways: Technical ESG training Proposal development workshops Strategic relationship building Risk and profitability management Soft skills and team leadership training Train-the-trainer programs Next-Level Growth Indicators: Lead large ESG engagements and business opportunities Contribute to thought leadership and industry publications Strengthen key client accounts and relationships
