Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality applications. They will also be responsible for designing and implementing testable and scalable code. ResponsibilitiesDevelop and convert eBooks in EPUB 2.0/3.0 formatsTroubleshoot formatting, layout, and functionality issuesEnsure compatibility across Kindle, iBooks, Kobo, Nook, and moreWork with cross-functional teams (authors, editors, designers)Optimize EPUBs for mobile/web while preserving design fidelityIntegrate multimedia: images, audio, video, interactivityFollow accessibility standards (WCAG, DAISY)Test EPUB files across tools and devicesProvide ongoing technical support for EPUB-related tasks🛠️ Required Skills & QualificationsProficient in XML, HTML, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScriptStrong knowledge of EPUB 2.0/3.0 (Reflowable & Fixed-layout)Experience with tools: Adobe InDesign, Sigil, Calibre and other tools related for Epub. QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related fieldFamiliarity with Mobi, PDF formatsExperience with Git/version control systemsUnderstanding of DRM, encryption, and eBook metadata (ONIX, Dublin Core)
