This position will oversee and coordinate the Electronic Program Guide process. It will require responsive and professional interfacing with internal and external teams. This position will be a central point of contact for the EPG process responsible for ensuring the EPG metadata is accurate, complete, in compliance with EPG partner company rules, and appropriately used by external partners.
  • Collaborating with programming and content leaders within the organization to ensure the EPG is populated with the most up to date programming information and related metadata.
  • Help craft descriptive programing information that is related to the show titles.
  • Ensure appropriate images are associated with every program and aligned with Shop LC creative guidelines.
  • Ensure each show has a unique and appropriate TMS ID that is aligned with the Shop LC metadata structure.
  • Work with IT to be a subject matter expert with the EPG system tools.
  • Work directly with program guide companies (especially Gracenote & Tivo) to ensure all Shop LC program guide data is compliant with their systems and requirements.
  • Effectively communicate with the Shop LC team any issues or non-compliance items in the program guide data.
  • Work with the . com and Social team to ensure consistency in use of the EPG information on the site, apps, and social media posts.
  • Ensure updates (periodic and non-periodic) to the EPG are posted and propagated to EPG companies and distribution partners in a timely manner.
  • Identify and address any failure of compliance or propagation of EPG data.
  • Monitor and report on distributor use of Shop LC EPG content.
  • Work to constantly improve the quality and effectiveness of the EPG process and content.
  • Over time apply the same processes to VOD content and the Digital Asset Management system.
Requirements and qualifications:
  • Bachelor s degree in the area of Creative, Marketing, English, or a related field.
  • At least three years of proven experience with video, media, and technology in relevant industries.
  • Experience of successfully working in a dynamic and demanding work environment.
  • Experience working with both internal and external clients.
  • Strong communications skills, including reading and writing in English.
  • Strong people & project management skills in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong knowledge and experience working with technical systems an innovative and logical thinker.
  • Well organized and highly structured individual, with ability to give attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to apply data in providing solutions and driving to business goals.
