EOHS Officer

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced EOHS Professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Environment, Occupational Health, and Safety management. The candidate must have strong knowledge of all applicable government norms, legal compliances, and safety regulations, especially for industrial/manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe, compliant, and environmentally sustainable workplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor EOHS policies, procedures, and standards.
• Ensure compliance with all government regulations, including:
• Factory Act & OSH Code
• Pollution Control Board (KSPCB/TNPCB etc.) norms
• Fire & Safety regulations
• Hazardous Waste Management Rules
• Environmental Clearance & Consent (CTO/CTE) requirements
• Safety Committee norms & statutory audits
• Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, HIRA & job safety analysis.
• Lead safety campaigns, training, toolbox talks, and emergency preparedness drills.
• Investigate incidents/accidents and implement corrective & preventive actions.
• Maintain statutory records, permits, compliance reports, and documentation.
• Coordinate with government authorities during inspections and audits.
• Train employees, contractors, and visitors on safety practices.
• Drive initiatives for environmental sustainability, waste management, and zero-incident culture.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of EOHS / EHS experience in manufacturing/industrial setup.
• Strong knowledge of all government safety & environmental norms.
• Degree/Diploma in Industrial Safety / Environmental Engineering / Fire & Safety.
• Certifications preferred: NEBOSH, IOSH, First Aid Training.
• Excellent knowledge of legal compliances and risk management.
• Strong communication, training, and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage emergency responses and safety protocols.
