Environments Manager

As an Environments Manager at Barclays, you will play a crucial role in spearheading the evolution of infrastructure and deployment pipelines. Your responsibilities will involve harnessing cutting-edge technology to build and manage robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure, ensuring the seamless delivery of digital solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, deliver, and maintain high-quality infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements with measurable reliability, performance, availability, and ease of use. - Monitor IT infrastructure and system performance, identify and resolve potential issues, vulnerabilities, or outages to drive down mean time to resolution. - Implement automated tasks and processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention. - Implement secure configurations and measures to protect infrastructure against cyber-attacks and other security threats. - Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineers to define IT infrastructure requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives. - Stay informed of industry technology trends and contribute to the organization's technology communities to foster technical excellence. Qualifications Required: - Hands-on experience in technical skills under various technology platforms such as Mainframe, Open Systems, Mid-Tier technology, Data warehouse, Cloud, CI/CD pipeline support for DevOps team, ITIL fundamentals for Change & Release Management, VmWare Virtualization. - Proficiency in tools like Bladelogic, AppDynamics, monitoring tools like Elk, and Cloud Platform Technology (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Highly valued skills in Stakeholder Management, Leadership, Decision-making, Problem Solving, Understanding of Mainframes, Digital Channels, and Cloud Technologies like AWS, Azure.
