As an Enterprise Architect-Vice President at Barclays, your primary focus will be to build a scalable data platform utilized across the organization with modern tools and capabilities. You will enhance central enterprise architecture capabilities to govern and influence development, as well as facilitate integration. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and develop solutions as products that can evolve to meet business requirements aligned with modern software engineering practices and automated delivery tooling. - Conduct targeted design activities to apply appropriate workload placement strategy and maximize the benefit of cloud capabilities. - Implement best practice designs incorporating security principles to meet the bank's resiliency expectations. - Balance risks and controls to deliver agreed business and technology value. - Provide fault finding and performance issue support to operational teams. - Assess solution design impact in terms of risk, capacity, and cost impact. - Develop architecture inputs required to comply with the bank's governance processes. **Qualifications Required:** - Knowledge and experience with industry-standard enterprise data platform stack technologies, ideally the AWS technology stack. - Good communication skills to work with stakeholders across departments and time-zones. - Familiarity with modern communication methodologies and tooling such as Jira, Confluence, and C4. - Experience with AWS cloud services like S3, Glue, Athena, Lake Formation, CloudFormation, etc. - Agility and flexibility to adapt to evolving business priorities. - Experience defining and executing governance, and a passion for technology.
