Position Title: Sr Engineer /AM/DM /Manager /Sr. Manager / AGM Mechanical Maintenance (Stainless steel Wire Division)

Location: Boisar

Qualification : B.E. / B.Tech/ Diploma in -Mechanical

Experience : Min.10 +Years of relevant experience in stainless wire manufacturing.

Job Overview

The incumbent will lead and manage the mechanical maintenance function of the stainless-steel wire manufacturing plant with a strong focus on preventive and predictive maintenance practices. The role is responsible for ensuring maximum equipment uptime, reliability, and performance through structured maintenance strategies, continuous improvement initiatives, and effective team leadership. The incumbent will play a critical role in minimizing breakdowns, optimizing maintenance costs, and enhancing overall equipment effectiveness, thereby supporting uninterrupted production and plant efficiency. Preference will be given to candidates with in-depth experience in stainless steel wire manufacturing processes and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance:

• Lead and implement a robust preventive maintenance program for all mechanical equipment and utilities.
• Utilize tools like TPM, RCM, and FMEA to reduce unplanned downtime and improve asset reliability.
• Develop and monitor a preventive maintenance calendar for machines like wire drawing machines, annealing furnaces, straightening machines, pickling units, and rolling mills.

2. Breakdown Analysis & Troubleshooting:

• Ensure quick resolution of mechanical breakdowns with root cause analysis.
• Maintain breakdown history logs and lead improvement initiatives to eliminate repetitive issues

3. Spares & Inventory Management:

• Oversee inventory control of critical mechanical spares, consumables, and lubricants.
• Coordinate with purchase and stores departments for timely procurement and stock management

4. Equipment Installation & Commissioning:

• Lead installation and commissioning of new mechanical equipment and upgrades.
• Provide technical evaluation for vendor selection and machine procurement.

5. Team Leadership & Development:

• Lead a team of maintenance engineers, technicians, and contractors.
• Provide training and mentorship to improve team skill sets and ensure adherence to SOPs and safety protocols

6. Compliance & Documentation:

• Ensure compliance with ISO/IMS, TPM, and safety audits.
• Maintain documentation for machine manuals, SOPs, maintenance checklists, and calibration records.

7. Continuous Improvement & Cost Control:

• Initiate and drive cost reduction projects in maintenance operations.
• Implement energy-saving and efficiency-enhancing projects.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of wire drawing, annealing, pickling, and coiling machinery.
• Proven experience in preventive and predictive maintenance in a steel/wire manufacturing setup.
• Sound understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, gearboxes, and pumps.
• Hands-on with maintenance planning tools, SAP/CMMS, and Microsoft Office.
• Good analytical, communication, and leadership skills
