Roles and Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and validate electrical systems for electric vehicles (EVs) and hybrid-electric vehicles (HEVs). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Conduct testing and validation of EV/HEV components, including batteries, motors, charging systems, and thermal management systems. Develop technical documentation and reports on project progress and results. Provide support for new product development projects related to EV/HEV technology. Design and develop electrical systems for EVs, including wiring harnesses, control units, battery management systems (BMS), inverters, and chargers. Create and interpret electrical schematics, harness drawings, and component specifications. Support the integration of high-voltage systems (e.g., battery packs, electric drive units, power distribution modules). Perform simulations and calculations to validate design parameters (current, voltage, thermal limits, etc.). Conduct root-cause analysis and troubleshooting of electrical system failures. Strong understanding of ev charging infrastructure requirements; familiarity with ISO 26262 functional safety standard an added advantage.
