Overview:

Delhi World Public School, Kolkata, is seeking a dynamic and passionate English Teacher to join our dedicated faculty. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment while delivering high-quality instruction in English language and literature. Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that promote active learning and cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation, collaboration, and critical thinking.
  • Teach English language skills including reading, writing, speaking, and listening, with a focus on building proficiency and confidence.
  • Integrate technology and innovative teaching methodologies to enhance learning outcomes and student engagement.
  • Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to support students with varying learning styles and abilities, including those with special educational needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary projects and initiatives that enrich the curriculum and promote holistic development.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic performance, ensuring compliance with school policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships and support the overall mission of the school.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, Education, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Teaching certification or licensure from a recognized institution.
  • Proven experience teaching English language and literature at the secondary level, preferably in a multicultural environment.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum standards and instructional best practices for English language arts.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve academic excellence and personal growth.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and digital resources to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and lifelong learning.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to contribute to the broader school community.
  • B.ED and CTET qualified teachers will be given preference.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
